When things get wet.

So today is a gloomy, rainy day here.  Yuck.  Unfortunately, the water seems to be having an effect on our day.  We’re slowly trying to recover though.  Here’s why.

Today, I took Shelby in to the doctor for her 9month checkup.  She is happy and healthy, weighing in a 19.14lbs (68%) and 29.5 inches (96%).  She is still ahead of the game for her growth and actually weighs now what Morgan weighed at a year!  Once she starts walking she’ll taper, I’m sure of it, as she’ll be burning more calories.  Look what she did on her own yesterday:

Morgan was the first victim of the waterworks treatment today.  I found out when I got back to the sitter’s to pick her up that she had wet her pants.  Ugh…and of course I didn’t pack her a change of clothes.  Thought she’d be fine for the hour I’d be away from her, right?  WRONG.  Oye.

Then, on the way home from our morning events I was just driving in the rain, daydreaming of summer, when all of a sudden my windshield wiper FLEW OFF!  Oh my goodness!  Luckily it got stuck on the truck by the hood. I had to pull over (in the rain) to fix it because I couldn’t see!

May the girls treat me well and take a long nap today….even if they don’t they are still cute.
