Miss Independence

My my my, a lot has changed in the past month with little Miss Shelby Jane.  She constantly cracks me up with her smiles, games and antics.  Oddly enough, I am still able to find humor in the fact that I have to chase her around the living room at night when it is bedtime.  Reason being, she is always smiling!

Even when she is being naughty and gets caught before she can carry out her task, she is smiling.

Her independence is way beyond my remembrance of Morgan’s independence at this age.  She brings you your shoes, she knows where her coat is, knows that her poop has to be changed and comes to you whining to do so, knows where she brushes her teeth, understands what the garbage is and what to throw in it.  This little thing just makes me giggle to myself daily.

Lately, she is obsessed with using a fork and spoon.  I let her finish the rest of her Berry Kix the other day on her own – she got them all and even started scooping the milk up!  Too cute!

So, now I have a sweet and sassy 3 year old and a stubborn but cute 16 month old.

This morning, my mother told me to try on their costumes so she could see them.  They were so adorable together – they really do love one another.
