During our visit to Wisconsin in October, it became pretty evident to me that Shelby was ready to ditch the diapers and get on board the potty train.
So…potty training we did.
She started off rough, peeing in her pants for 2 days straight. On day 3 I was fairly certain that was the end of it…and then it clicked.
And the rest is history…..
Only a middle child could get into trouble while sitting on the potty.
This picture I HAVE to show at her wedding someday.
She took a long time for going #2 on the potty to come along. For two weeks, yes two, she would SCREAM that she had to poop and would hold it until eventually she would poop in her pants. We bought her a gift and set it in the bathroom and told her when she started pooping on the potty she’d get to open it. Finally she figured out it wasn’t scary and now she runs to the potty and goes without me even telling her to! It is wonderful. Only a baby in diapers. Amen.
Way to go little sunshine. Way to go!

OOOhhh, I love the gift in the bathroom idea. Hutton keeps pooping in his pants.
Hutton, where are you supposed to poop?
In the potty.
Where did you poop?
In my pants.
We might have to try this!
