Just putting this out there, but does any parent hate snaps on kids clothes as much as I do? Now don’t get me wrong, I feel they are necessary on certain items like onesies, the neckline, coat bottoms and jeans. But come on, why can’t the one piece outfits have zippers?
One of my biggest pet-peeves, which can to revisit me once Shelby was born, is the snaps on the one piece outfits for kids under one. The brand we wear at our house is Carter’s and let me tell you, they love their snaps over there. This is why I hate the snaps:
- Sometimes pop open.
- Hard to do snap closed while the kid is kicking and screaming at 1:00am.
- Causes a draft in the leg area where the undershirt isn’t covering.
I’d really like to know why some companies choose snaps over zippers. I am assuming it is cheaper, but who knows.
There, I’m done. Thanks for listening.

I agree with you 100%. I actually asked mike about this when he was in the infants office and he said that snaps are supposed to be classier or something to that effect. If it makes you feel better, this complaint has been lodged with the powers to be at Kohl's. Give me a zipper any day.
