It is no secret that I love the sun, blue sky and warm weather. Snow is not my friend, although I look forward to the winter merely for the fact that the kids don’t wake up as early in the morning.
For now, we soak up every little ounce of warm weather that we can. In Illinois, it is a wee bit warmer than it is in Wisconsin. We’ve already used our little pop-up pool more times than I ever did there as a child.
Some days area always so filled with errunds, parks and outdoor stuff, I forget that the girls might want to color!

I must say, we’ve gotten a lot of new, fun outside toys the past week at our house. A scooter, a bike for Morgan, and baseball stuff to help with T-Ball that starts tonight (Morgan only).
The issue of the helmets is quite confusing to me. Should they wear them, shouldn’t they? I say on the bike, yes, as they never stay on the other toys long enough for me to justify having them wear them. So, after these pictures we made a Ride Your Bike, Wear a Helmet rule at our house. Seems to be working.
Seriously, Morgan looks like she’s ready to enter kindergarten! Stop growing child!! Lol.
I love summer, and I love sidewalks. How did I ever grow up without them?
