The past few days, Morgan and Shelby have been playing make believe at every chance they get. Yesterday, Morgan kept calling Shelby “mom”, but when she wanted me, I didn’t answer…because she was calling Shelby mom, right? But when she wanted Shelby, I did answer…hah. Needless to say we were all confused!
Today was a new Make Believe day. The girls were pretending to go out to dinner. They even used necklaces to make “placements” for themselves.
After they were done “eating out”, the girls out their shoes on, got in their car, aka the fireplace, and drove home.
Shelby was so thoughtful…she even put a DVD in for them to watch!
…in the DVD player….aka Fireplace VENT!!!!
Bye-bye Hercules
All in good fun right? It took me about 15 minutes to realize why she would put the DVD in the fireplace like that. But then it hit me – she was pretending it was the DVD player in our car. Their car was the fireplace. And poof, Hercules became a God of natural causes!
Still…even though it was cleaver, I wasn’t amused…Although, Brooke thought it was funny.

oh my goodness. his brought back fond memories of my pretending days! I'm so glad you documented this for your girls.
LOVE IT! See if you had boys, they'd be putting each other in the fireplace. I guess a DVD is much easier to replace :)
