Christmas

This Christmas, we were able to spend it in Wisconsin with our family. Our holiday affair started off with my birthday on the 17th. I turned the big 2-9 and 2013 brings the big 3-0!!! Yikes!

I was sick for my birthday, which sucked, so my family get-together was really small but enjoyable.

A birthday surprise from Brooke was she started crawling!

Christmas was different this year. We did the 23rd at my Grandparents, Christmas Eve Brunch at Greg’s mom’s, Christmas Eve Dinner at my parents and Christmas Day (the entire day) at Greg’s dad’s. It was wonderful.

We had a really nice Christmas. The spirit of the holidays filled my parents’ home with the help of having my kids there. They put cookies and carrots out for Santa and his reindeer. We had a good time everywhere we went. 2013 will be different. Greg will be on call for Christmas so we will be having Christmas in our house. I have never gotten the chance to make a Christmas Eve feast or Christmas Breakfast. I am super excited to do both. I cannot wait to make cookies with the kids and have them run down the stairs in the morning to see what Santa left them. So while I’m sad we won’t be in Wisconsin for Christmas, perhaps these new memories will be even better than I imagine.
