Weekend in WI

This past weekend we were able to spend time in Wisconsin. I went up on Thursday afternoon with the girls. We had lunch and were on the road by 12:19pm (19 minutes after I wanted to leave) and drove hard and steady until we finally stopped at 3:40pm at my parents house! I hit the cruise to 75mph and didn’t stop for anyone to pee. The girls were all amazing. I was so proud of them.

On Friday afternoon, Greg road the train up and my parents picked them up. It was SUPER convenient and great for me as I didn’t have to go downtown to fetch him!

That evening, I had a glorious, much needed girls night out with my dining-out-divas bunch as so I feel is safe to call them. Eight of us got together at the Cheesecake Factory, and one special lady flew in to visit as well! It was awesome.

Karen, Whitney and Me. These girls are some of my favs and I couldn’t imagine life without them!

On Saturday morning, all the kids got baths and Greg headed over to help sort through his dad’s garage in prep to put his house on the market. He came home with a very interesting box of stuff from there. Perhaps that will be its own post (just for Ken).

Saturday afternoon, my sister Pam, her daughter Kendra, our friend Renee and her daughter Amelia, went with Morgan and I to lunch in Downtown Milwaukee, and then to a production of Pinkalicious: The Musical. It was so much fun! Hilarious, just the right amount of time (1hr) and adorable. Kudos to the crew who worked so hard to help my girl laugh.

Saturday night was another fun one. This time, we visited Maggianos with our other group of Besties (Greg, Me, Jon, Michelle, Marlee and Mike.) It was fun to see the old gang and dine on some amazing treats. Afterwards I got to hold Jon and Michelle’s new baby Claire, who is almost 3 months old. That was short lived as I made her cry, reminding me of my dislike for the first 5mo of any infants lives. haha. Give ‘em to me at age 10mo or older and I’d have 100!

Sunday was a special day. Our friends Karen and Derrick blessed their newest, cutest little girl, Tessa. Greg was asked to be a part of it, which was perfect as we love themSmile Here is the big guy with the little gal (2 months old) that afternoon. She is SOOOoooooooo adorable! Which reminds me, I never did get to hold her..

After a few days of fun it was time to depart. And what better way to say ado to Wisconsin but with a little snow on our departure.

Glad we can come and go to our home state so easily right now. It makes me happy staying at my parents who do a TON to help me out and are pretty much amazing.

Love to all my family and friends!
