Oh for MANY YEARS have I dreamed of taking Greg and however many children we have to Disney World. Going every-other-year as a child myself, my excitement to take my own kids was THROUGH THE ROOF! Just as long as we could get there, I knew things would turn out okay.
Here we are at the airport. We flew out of Bloomington (where we live) which was quite convenient considering we live 10 minutes from it!
And on the plane. We were on the 2-seat side, which meant I got Morgan and Brooke. I always seem to get Brooke…aka…torture me on the plane and never sit still Brooke.
We landed at 10:00pm Florida time, got picked up by the car service and began our 45 minute drive to our first resort. My parents were waiting with open arms when we arrived. It was so nice to see them!
The first real Disney Day was on Monday. We had to wake all the kids, who went to bed at 12:30pm, and headed off to breakfast at Ohana’s. It is located at the Polynesian Resort. It is a character brunch with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, Mickey and Goofy. It was amazing to see the girls meet the characters for the first time. Truly something special to experience.
Waiting at the Bus Stop for our ride to breakfast!
This juice was AMAZING. It was mango, guava and pineapple. I can still taste it!
The girls with LILO. They were so happy to see her. Morgan was terrified of Stitch, but Shelby was happy as can be!
Pluto came to see us next. For months Shelby raved about getting to meet him….I guess his size was too much for her because she REFUSED to hug him.
My Mom and Morgan hugging the cute puppy.
After we were all done eating they brought Morgan out some cupcakes as she was wearing her Happy Birthday pin (we only let her celebrate the first day). It was so much fun!
And JUST before we packed up to leave, Mickey finally got to our table. The girls were thrilled…so were my parents!
The Polynesian Resort is one of the few attached to the Monorail System at Disney World. So after breakfast we took the girls on their first ride around the entire Disney World and gave them a glimpse at all the fun to come in the next few days.
After brunch, we headed back to the hotel so we could swim for a while. Then, they all got MUCH NEEDED naps as we were heading to the Magic Kingdom that night!
After naps, the girls fueled up on sugar (that was the theme the entire trip I found), and away we went.
This was Brooke the ENTIRE trip. Paci and Mad. Lol. She was a tough cookie though as we put her through a lot. This was before Pirates of the Caribbean.
Waiting for the Tiki Room to start.
Dancing after dinner at Cosmic Ray’s CafĂ©.
Waiting for the Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor to begin. It was so funny. Shelby even got to play the role of Boo!
Cinderella’s Castle before the Wishes fireworks began.
Or little Princess back at the hotel, ready for Day 2 to begin in 12 hours Lol.
What a great first day of vacation we had. I was soooo excited for what the rest of the trip had in store for us!

I love Disney world! How fun that you took your kids and your parents were there. One of my most favorite trips was when we took carly to Disneyland last year. Those Disney trips are memory makers :)
