13 Months Today!

Today, Morgan turned 13 months old.  It is amazing how fast time is flying.  Pretty soon I will be kissing her goodbye on the first day of school….okay, I know I’m jumping the gun a bit – but who doesn’t think of this stuff?

Anyway…Morgan is such a sweet and energetic girl.  I took her to the doctor yesterday to get checked out because of these bumps on her hands – which ended up being on her feet and mouth…can you guess?  That’s right, the Foot, Hand and Mouth virus.  Can’t do anything for it at all.  Most likely got it from her yeast infection (on her butt not indoors).  While I was there, we weighed and measured her.  She is now 20.14lbs and 30.5inches.  That’s 31% and 81% respectively – what a long string bean.  Only 2 more pounds until we can flip that dang car seat around.

Here is what Morgan is up to these days.

• Loves to explore, can scale-walk the entire house.
• Can climb up stairs.
• Blows kisses.
• Makes a “aaaummm” sound when putting food in her mouth.
• Crawls on EVERYTHING – including you if you come to visit.
• Likes to help me fold laundry.  She hands me a piece and then I fold it.  Too cute!

• Talks to any kid she can see – even if they’re 100ft across the street.
• Dances to music.
• Plays peek-a-boo with her shirt on the changing table.
• Walked a record of 12 steps straight on her own – no support or fingers.
• Loves to eat food – but if you offer her a drink while she’s chewing she’ll spit all the food out just to get some milk.  Hilarious!
• Holds up all her toys and pretends she’s on the phone with them.
• Gives kisses and hugs.
• Loves to be on the coach – will dance and tumble on it for an hour!
• Enjoys bath time – hates getting out.
• Likes to play the piano  and gets mad if I play without her.  She will start crying, march right over to me and demand a chance.  Wow.

She’s also getting better at sitting for pictures nowadays.

Morgan is such delight.  We really love her oh so much.  She keeps us on our toys – that’s for sure.  And she definitely has a way about her, meaning if she doesn’t get it, she’s going to let you know. We are truly blessed:)
