S.A.F.E Extrication

For those who don’t know this, for the past six months (wow…cannot believe it has been that long) Greg has been involved in a select group (6 total) of individuals on his Fire Department who were asked to participate in the S.A.F.E Extrication Program.  Basically, it teaches them to get patients out of INSANE car-crashes/accidents in a quick manner, but at the same time keeping the patient safe.

On Friday, Greg and his crew had their final test at the Medical College of Wisconsin Crash Lab, where the smashed a car and timed the team to extract two patients from it in under 15 minutes.  It was quite intense as they finished in 14.14.  If you care to watch the crash and the extrication videos, they can be found under the videos section on this page.
