Finally, 5 months old! Yippee! Now this is when the fun starts:)
In case you haven’t noticed, I am not that fond of the 0-3 month age of the babes. I like them moreso when the become interactive, can coo, roll, eat, sleep through the night. In a few months, I know I’ll be posting on how I’m ready for number three. Lucky Greg, right? (he actually says he’s ready now….granted he doesn’t have to do anything but point and shoot right).
Shelby turned 5 months today and what a difference a month makes. If I had to choose two words to desribe this little sweetheart it would be Happy and Quiet.
Shelby is a very happy baby. Smiles a ton and LOVES to play with her big sister. Last night, Shelby and I were rolling the ball back and forth to Morgan. Morgan would giggle, then Shelby would giggle in return. It was so cute; and at that moment I realized we’re meant to have more than one baby no matter how tough it is.
As you can see, sometimes Morgan forgets how small Shelby is. I’ll find her trying to ride her like a horsey. Oh boy.
Like I said, Shelby is very interactive yet she is Super Quiet. Even her Coos and Giggles are quiet. Sometimes she’ll belt out a loud noise, but those are few and far between. Everyone says Shelby is so quiet because Morgan is so loud. Maybe so:)
Last month, Shelby started baby food. She regularly enjoys rice cereal, oatmeal, squash, sweet potatoes and all fruits. Not a fan of the greens though, oh well I guess – would you eat mushed peas?
Shelby also is sleeping through the night. By doing so, it produces this….
pretty regularily. Her naps have become quite predictable as well. Thank goodness!
All in all, life is good. Aside from the fact that this little peanut’s favorite comfort item is her first two fingers on her right hand. When she wants to go to bed and I haven’t gotten her there yet, she’ll pop those puppies in. That may be a hard habit to break someday.

Shelby is so adorable. I just want to bite her cheeks- especially in the pic in her high chair. So Yummy!
