8 months

I cannot believe how fast the last month has gone by.  I swear I was just writing Shelby’s 7mo update and now, it is her 8mo update!  My goodness I am getting old!

Shelby turned 8months today and I can officially say that I feel like she is closer to a one year old than an 6th month old now.  She is really a joy to be around, although sometimes she HATES when you leave her alone in the room.  Usually MOrgan helps to fill the void; she does love her big sister!

I stepped on the scale this morning (that’s another post in the making) and weighed my big peanut.  She was 20lbs!!  Then, Morgan and I got out the tape measurer and came up with about 28 inches.  The little wiggler is hard to get to sit still.

I must say that any age that is over 6 months old is my favorite, and it just gets better and better and better (and easier and easier right?).  Shelby really cracks me up a lot of times.  She has this little noises she makes, though usually she is pretty quiet.  She goes through toys though like I do chocolate.  One after another after another.  She wears me out!  Haha.

And she can officially crawl now whenever and wherever she wants (though the main motivation is still electronic devices).  She has just started getting up on her knees and rocking back and forth.  Hopefully soon we can say goodbye to the army crawl.

Shelby fits oh-so-perfectly in our family.  She really is an important piece of the puzzle and we couldn’t imagine life without her!  We love you Shelby.
