Finally

After 4 gruesome attempts to potty train Morgan, it FINALLY clicked!  I tried at 18months, 22months, 24months and now FINALLY at 28months she is officially potty-trained!

Y E A H Y E A H!!!!!

Here is how it all started.  Last week, Morgan learned how to spit her toothpaste out in the sink without swallowing it.  Remembering what my sister said as to when her daughter was able to spit, I thought to myself, “Hey, Kendra was potty trained real shortly thereafter.”  So, I said, well…why not try it again… so I went at it.

  • Wednesday: 4 pee accidents in the AM.  Said a little prayer and she peed on the toilet the rest of the day.
  • Thursday: 2 pee accidents in the AM, good rest of the day.
  • Friday: 1 pee accident ALL DAY.
  • Saturday: zero pee accidents
  • Sunday: zero pee accidents and even went at church on the men’s potty (thanks to daddy).

And from here on out, she stays high and dry.  She still is unable to tell me she has to go potty.  Sometimes she does, but is not consistent.  But, she will go for you when you tell her to.

Oh, and about pooping?  Never thought you’d ask.  She is much like a little puppy right now – have to catch her before she goes and hides in the corner and poops.  If I catch her, she will poop on the potty.  Needless to say, I know her cues and she is doing pretty goodSmile

Great Job MORGAN!  We love you!
