5 Weeks

Yesterday marked 5 weeks at our house.  Shelby is coming along quite nicely – sort of like a cute little plant that keeps growing and growing.  Here are some of her recent milestones; good and bad.

• Can smile at mommy.
• Holds her head up pretty well.
• Likes to sit up on your shoulder (not literally) or lay flat on the ground.
• Likes her jingly elephant – she can hear it but not 100% make eye contact yet.
• Likes to sleep in her swing, only if she is asleep before you put her in there.
• Gets inpatient when she eats sometimes.
• Likes to lay without her diaper on.
• Enjoys the pacifier…sometimes.
• Hasn’t had a bottle yet (yikes – not looking forward to that one).
• Sleeps in her crib at night, yet, sometimes during the day it is tough because her big sister is loud.
• Does not like her carseat..AT ALL.
• Good burper.
• Makes a lot of grunts/noises when she sleeps.  No wonder we didn’t have a monitor until Morgan was 1!!!
• Loves to be swaddled.
• Insists on being walked to sleep (when do I get to let her cry-it-out?)

Here is a comparison of the two girls at 5-weeks.  I say…same nose, mouth, eyes, lips (greg’s lips). Wow…maybe do they do look the same!
