This weekend was a fun one! Why? Well, because at about 10pm on Friday night my parents and grandparents arrived at our house, that’s why!
It was great to see them and show them our house. It was nice to see my dad hug Greg…in fact, now that I think of it, he hugged Greg before he hugged me!? I’ll have to chat with him about that one.
Friday night was just catching up and opening up some items mom brought me. You know, contact solution, placemats, and the best thing of all…this:
A case of this delicious, goodness.
Honestly, I am surprised it is not all gone yet.
Saturday was fun. Unfortunately, it was down-pouring when they got to our house. Oh, the girls were SOOOO excited to see my parents. Brought a proud tear to my eye. I thought Morgan was going to lose it when their care pulled up. So sweet. She had her buddy back (my mom).
After we took them on a tour of Farmington, we head to Bismarck to show them Greg’s worksite/office. From there, we headed to Pilot Knob where we visited Fort Davidson.
It was interesting. My dad loved it as he is a huge history/factoid buff. And my Grampa engaged himself quite a bit as well.
After Fort Davidson blew up, we headed over to our real point of destination (we got lost…of course my fault) Elephant Rocks State Park.
These giant elephant-shaped boulders are made of crystalline red granite and formed naturally by the earth.
For size comparison, there were ones there times this size.|
Our first Missouri Family Photo. For those of you who haven’t seen us in a while, enjoy.
The girls’ grandparents and my grandparents
Look at those legs! Where did my baby go??
After lunch and naps for pretty much everyone but me, we headed to our favorite local park to show my family what we do pretty much every day. The Missouri Heat was starting to take over so we didn’t stay long.
After a delicious homemade dinner, we put the kiddos to bed and played our favorite family game, Rummy Royal, and celebrated my Grampa’s 86th Birthday.
All in all, a great weekend. Sad to see them go today, but I was happy my grandparents could see our house and new little town.
We love you Mom, Dad, Gramma and Grampa!

Adorable. I'm glad you got visitors!
How fun to have visitors! I need a case of Sprechers...the list is so long of things I miss about WI. Your girls are getting so big and they are so cute!
