Happy Due Date to YOU!

When I got pregnant, according to my due date calculator I was due TODAY.  However, when I began visiting my doctor in Missouri, he told me I was due on April 25th.  When I had Brooke on March 30th, I could not believe that I was having her 3.5 weeks early. So, I counted again and sure enough, I was due TODAY.  Another reason I am glad I left my Missouri doctor – not only did his nurse tell me the sex of my baby, but he was a little wacky…

So I am happy to say that today, is Brooke’s due date.  Sure she was born 18 days ago…but today is a day worth celebrating. Why?  Because my body has been baby free for 18 days that’s why!  Lol.

I thought that I should capture today via pictures for some reason. Not sure why – perhaps its because I’ve never had an early baby so this is all new.  So here you go!

Brooke is still a great baby. She eats every 3 – 3.5 hours and goes right back to sleep after feeding her during the night. She is becoming more awake and alert during the daytime, which is nice.  She definitely recognizes my voice and smell, and today when Morgan and I sang I am a child of God to her, she immediately stopped crying. Perhaps that was her favorite song up in heaven.

Greg and I agree she is a perfect combination between Morgan and Shelby and how they looked at this age. She definitely has Greg/Morgan’s chin and my eyes – like they all do.

Mommy lovin her little pumpkin.  I love Morgan/Shelby’s naptime as I get some quiet time with Brooke.

And this is how Daddy babysits. It is too cute as they all snuggle around him.
