Four year’s ago, after my water breaking at noon, laboring from 3-midnight, pushing from midnight until 3:00am, our little girl entered the world at 3:11am barely making a peep. She guzzled down a bottle of Similac and quickly perked right up. Why did this nursed baby have a bottle? Well, she was born huge – 9.11lbs – and had a blood sugar of 14 (should have been in the 60s). She didn’t even have a diaper on and she was being fed.
A whale of a tale on the ocean sea…
She would end up being the biggest of all of our babies, and who knew she would steal our hearts so quickly.
Today, Morgan is definitely growing into a little young lady. While she still enjoys playing outside 24/7, her other love for television and the iPad come into a close 2nd and 3rd.
Morgan is a very sweet kid. She is very sensitive, gets frustrated at herself oh-so-quickly like when she can’t get on her coat (unfortunately that is a trait inherited from me), and is so loving it sometimes gets the best of her.
Although she is four, Morgan still takes a nap everyday from about 1-2:30 or 3:00pm. It is never a fight with her as she enjoys her downtime as long as she has an array of animals/dolls/babies to sleep with. And of course, her blankie. Bedtime is also a breeze with her as well, as long as the routine stays the same. Please note from about age 2.5 – 3.5yrs bedtime for her was a NIGHTMARE and she would always put on an show for us each night. Singing, crying, calling, escaping – you named it she did it. It wasn’t until we moved to Bloomington she is an angel…
We love this girl. Her energy, her audacity, her never-ending willingness to help. I have to say, her preschool teacher told me that she has a lot of friends in class. Makes me proud of her ability to make friends so quickly as it hopefully will always keep her comforted even when she is far away from family.
Her best friends, however, live right in our home. Shelby…
And little Brookie-Brookie (or so she calls her).
Morgan, our sweet girl, we are so proud to be your parents. I cannot believe you are already four….and in 12 years you will be driving. Amazing as I knew time is going to fly so fast. We love you Morgan!
Happy Birthday sweet girl
