Morgan turning four was a lot different than any other birthdays we have had for the kids around here. First, this is the first birthday where all of our immediate family was not there (we chose not to make everyone travel down this time). Second, this is the first year she really “got” that it was her birthday. Third, she got an extended birthday..in a way.
Since her birthday was Thursday, and daddy got home late, we did a simple little Tiana Cookie Cake to celebrate…
On Friday night, my parents and grandparents came down for the weekend so Greg and I could go out and celebrate our Anniversary (6 years).
On Saturday, we took the girls bowling for the first time. It was incredibly fun. They reallllllyy really loved it. We will definitely go again!
After bowling, the girls had a nap, and then we opened presents.
After a lot of playtime, an awesome dinner and baths, it was time for the cake.
I love this picture…she is so adorable and excited.
Greg was on hair-flame-patrol….if you look to Morgan’s left, he forgot the OTHER SIDE OF HER HAIR! AHHH! I almost had a heart attack!
And the infamous rainbow. Honestly, I do not know if I will make this cake again. For the time it took me to make it, I really do not enjoy it as much as I should, haha. The cake could be a little better – perhaps a different recipe? Oh well…it looked good!
And that’s a wrap! Birthday party #4 for Morgan. We give praise to her health and the joy she brings our lives. We love you Morgan.
