Yesterday, I went to Babies R’ Us with Morgan.

It was a really fun trip because we got there at about 9:45am and there were only 4 moms/kid carts in the store.  Awesome as I could shop in peace without someone running into my cart.

I was SO pleased with our success yesterday, however, I was not pleased with the final bill.  YIKES!  $229!  Greg looked at me so oddly, but once I explained he was proud of my shopping.

Here goes the damage:

• 2 boxes of size 4 diapers and 1 box of size 1 diapers (weird)  - I got a $15 giftcard as well after the purchase.  Plus the boxes were all on sale.
• 6 bottles – yup this baby #2 will take one bottle of boob juice a day, we vowed, when he/she gets about 6 weeks old.
• Sippy cups for Morgan – insulated – ooooo….. (used a coupon).
• Forks for Morgan.  Yup, she’s growing up, though she cannot really stab the food herself.  Its cute to watch her feed herself though.  She gets so excited she put down the fork to clap.  Hillarious.
• 5-pack of Carter’s 24mon. white onesies.  I swear, finding these are like gold. Plus they were 50% off.
• A Bumbo – we’ve wanted one for a long time so baby #2 will sit in style.  Used a 20% off coupon (beat that Kohl’s).

I think that’s it.  I was really excited, to say the least.  When she rung up the bill prior to coupons and in-store specials it was like $276.  I almost died – but $229 is a lot more easier to swallow. 

Oh the joys of parenthood.
