I attended undergraduate school at Carroll College (now Carroll University) and graduated in 2006. It was sort of neat when I got there because my maiden name, Banaszynski, had already made something of itself.
You see, my cousin Melissa attended Carroll from 1994 – 1998 and my sister Pam attended Carroll from 1998-2002. So, by the time I got there in 2002, I had a lot to live up too. Mainly because Melissa was a star athlete and Pammy was a star academic. She is way smarter than me and funny enough, people expected me to be that way too. Boy were they wrong!
Anyway, the part that you might not know about me is that I was a Resident Assistant for three of my four college years. Freshman year, I lived with a roommate on the 5th floor of the all-girls dorm. After one year of that, I realized that I wanted to live alone. The smartest route? Be a Resident Assistant (RA) so that I could live for FREE and get paid in the process! WooHoo!
Here is the sidebar and comical part of this entire post. My sister, who lived in the Charles House in 2001/2002 school year, had her room photographed for the Carroll Web site. Funny enough, they photographed my College Avenue Apartment four years later!
And the even FUNNIER PART is about all of this…..they haven’t updated their pictures since!
Taken in 2002. Pam’s futon now resides in my basement.
Taken in 2006. The chain was a count-down to our Mexico Trip, Post Graduation.
This is all too comical.
