What a delightful blessing it was to spend 24 hours straight with my family this Easter. Seeing how Greg had to work, the girls and I slept over at my parents’ house Easter Eve so that we could go to the 7am service at my parents’ church that morning. Although I slept horrible that night, the girls seemed to sleep okay so I was happy.
Morgan was able to dye Easter Eggs with my mom after Shelby went to bed. She had a ton of fun!
When we woke up, we got the kids ready and headed off to Shepard of the Hills Church for their Easter service. Morgan enjoyed hearing the trumpets play throughout a lot of the songs. It was sweet to see how excited she got as she’s never seen anything like that before. A true-blue band geek after my own heart. Also, the girls sat really well throughout the service – thanks to Cheerios and Trix I guess!
Unfortunately, afterwards they would not cooperate for a picture together.
Ahhh story of my life.
After breakfast, Kendra, Pam and Jeff arrived. Morgan was soooo excited to see Kendra. They got to do an Easter Egg Hunt while Shelby slept.
After the Hunt we had a delicious lunch and then dessert. The girls played with my old Disney Train. It was a hit! (anyone else have this thing?)
And last but not least, Shelby just played like a crazy-lady.
What a nice Easter.
