2 Months Today!

It has been two months since our little pumpkin was born. It comically has also been two months since I have slept 4 straight hours, but she is worth it.

Having three kids has been a whirlwind for me. I love them, I do, but the energy of 3 kids under 4 can be taxing at times. I am doing my best to keep up and trying my hardest to ignore my dusty house, cluttered counters and piled up laundry. Brooke is changing me to be a little more laid back with the housework. AH!

Brooke’s schedule pretty much revolves around eating. Usually during the daytime she is up for an hour at a time, which includes feeding/burping, and then sleeps about 2 hours and starts all over again. At nightime she will go back to sleep for the most part after feeding her. However, she still will feed 2-3 times during the night. Which makes mommy sleepy as the other girls awake at 7am religiously.

We had Brooke’s checkup today. She is 11 lbs (50%) and 22.5inches (50%).  She has gained 4 pounds since she left the hospital, so I guess my breast milk is plenty filling! I imagine she is right on track to be the same size of the girls, because she was 3 weeks early, thus if she was on time she’d be probably close to the 80% mark like the other two.

This girl is definitely a momma’s girl. She knows the sound of my voice, the smell of my…skin/hair/scent?… and my touch. She is my little sweetie and probably will be spoiled by me as the other two girls get older.

She just began smiling last week, though right now they are few and far between. But still there.

And now for the looks. Who does this little gal look like? Well in this picture, she looks like Greg as a baby.

But in this picture, she looks a lot like Shelby and Morgan. I even found a matching shirt picture to show you (love hand-me-downs).
