Brooke’s Blessing

This weekend was a busy one. On Thursday afternoon, our family traveled north to Wisconsin to spend some time with family and friends. It was a busy day, and as usual, was filled with mischief…
Shelby Wipes (23mo)

This had Shelby written all over it. To keep the kids distracted while I did some last minute packing (totally not my style by the way), I brought out their little dollhouse. They are so cute with it.

We hit the road and got home just in time for dinner at my mom’s, where we stay. Friday was filled with errands, visiting and a haircut for Greg. Then, dinner out to Flattop Grill with some of our besties.

On Saturday, a very dear friend of Greg’s family hosted a little gathering at her house in honor of Brooke’s Blessing.  Greg spoke such sweet words and Brooke didn’t fuss one bit.

Brooke Blessing Day

The gown that Brooke is wearing has been in my family, on the Banaszynski side, for four generations now. Each child born to the Banaszynski side has been baptized in it at birth. Seeing how in our religion we baptize at age 8, our children have all been blessed in it around 2 months old.Brooke Blessing Day 2

That night, we attended my niece Hadley’s First Birthday Party.

And on Sunday, the girls got to play together one last time before we headed home to Illinois the following day.

What a great weekend it was, even if we arrived home to an extremely hot house of 84 on the first floor and 89 in my bedroom on the second floor. Next time I’ll turn the air on when we are gone!
