This past Saturday marked Morgan’s 18 month birthday celebration. I cannot believe that a year and a half has already passed since she was born. She has changed so much in just six months; we are so proud to have her as our daughter.
Morgan definitely shares many characteristics of her parents:
- Loves outdoor activities – demands a walk outside at least once a day (and when I say walk she means walking by herself).
- Verrrrrryyyy independent. If you try to do things for her without her consent she will sit her butt down on the ground and cry (like yesterday when she wouldn’t let us help walk the wagon home…)
- Enjoys dogs and really all animals (we like animals just choose to live animal-free).
- Is a good ball thrower. Hopefully she’ll play softball just like her momma/dadda.
- Loves milk, ketchup, bananas, chocolate, banana bread, cheese and ham. Just some of our favorites here.
Our days are now filled with activities to burn off little Morgan’s energy. Here are some of her favorite things to do to help around the house:
- Unload the dishwasher (when clean).
- Put laundry in the washing machine/dryer and push the start button.
- Swiffer the wood floors.
- Pick up trash and throw in the trash bin.
- Lick the beaters (who doesn’t love this!)
- Hand me laundry I am in the process of folding it.
- Walk around in Momma’s Shoes
Morgan is a lot of fun and cute. She does have her moments of toddlerhood though – bracing us for the terrible twos I suppose. I am not fond of her rare hitting trait she has picked up, but a few time-outs on the time-out rug seemed to help with that.
All in all she is wonderful. She loves her daddy – especially on the weekends I work.
To cap off this 18 Month Celebration, here are Morgan’s stats. She is 23.7lbs (38%) and 33inches long (86%). The doc gave her a clean bill of health with warm wishes that she will not have to see her again until September! WooHoo!
What a Goof!
