If there is one thing that I have learned the hard way, it is that my sweet girl does not…I repeat…DOES NOT like fictitious, real-life size characters. Even though Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a hit in our house, do not be deceived by her joy for the fun little cartoon. Oh no, this girl does not like the real thing.

This past Saturday, my sister and I took the kids (Morgan and Kendra-21mo) to a free Easter Bunny event at the local Hallmark Store. Sounded fun, right?
Here is how it went down…
- Walked in the door and a clown gave the kids balloons. However, my kid did not like help at all so she had a HUGE screamfest inside the store. Two minutes later, we were giving the balloon back.
- Next up, Easter Bunny Time! YEAH!….WRONG. Morgan wouldn’t even let go of my arm without hysterically crying. This is the only picture I got of her. Kendra, on the other hand, did okay.
- To top it off, we tried to involve the kids in face-painting. Again, Morgan freaked out once the lady touched her face and Kendra did okay. All in all, they loved the free sample of Jelly Belly’s that were handed out.
Oh my…the joys of being a parent.
