Looking back a month ago, I could not believe how slow time was passing. Now that I am back to working part-time, I’ve come to realize a few things:
- Working makes life fly by faster.
- Working stinks because you miss out on your kids’ lives.
- Working is good because it gets me out of the house and the kids make new friends.
- Working is just the way we have to do things right now.
Today, Shelby turned 3 months old and I cannot, let me repeat, cannot believe how fast time is going now. Soon enough she’ll be eating solids, crawling and sitting up on her own.
It seemed like only yesterday when I was saying to myself, “I wonder if she’ll ever hold her head up like Morgan did at 3 months. Well, here are the pictures to prove that our kids are definitely odd as they love their bellies and can do this at 3 months.
Wow, it is creepy to see how they are really starting to look alike. They definitely have my eyes, Greg’s chin and forehead. Their ears are the same too – though I’m not sure who is to take fault for those.
Shelby is growing so big, so fast. I hope the clothes last us through the winter. Her hair is growing nicely too. A bit thicker on the top than I expected and it is turning blonde, which I thought it never would.
She’s a cute little blob isn’t she.
And as of today, napping on her belly….though I’ve only done this once because I’m too chicken to do it continuously. It was nice though while it lasted, except for the fact I checked on her every ten minutes.
And of course, she loves her big sister, who insisted on being in this picture but then refused to smile. Go figure.
We love you Shelby!

Wow! I can't get over how much the girls are starting to look alike.
Also, I let Hutt sleep on his belly (and I also check him all the time). I would have never done this with Keaton but dude! the kids sleeps this way!!
Yeah... I see why you say time is going so fast. She's getting so big. Very Very cute!
