Today we celebrate making it four years without killing each other. Just kidding. Honestly, today is our fourth anniversary of being married and our eighth anniversary of being introduced to one another by Greg’s older brother/sister-in-law. Here’s how it went down:
SIL: Sarah! You should meet Ken’s younger brother, Greg! He is really cute and funny. Here’s his number – he can pick you up for youth group on Monday nights.
Sarah: Umm…okay! Hope my mom doesn’t find out that this random guy is picking me up while I’m just in my first week of college.
That first Monday….
Sarah: (peering out the 5th floor dorm window at Greg in his cute White Chevy S10 Pickup). Awesome – hope he’s cute!Greg: Hi. I’m Greg.
Sarah: Hi. I’m Sarah. At that point I INSTANTLY knew I was going to marry this guy. Honest.
So there you have it. Dated for four years while I finished my degree and Greg worked his butt off so he could buy me a ring (which is quite nice by the way) and get a down-payment for a house then voila! We’re married. Here are some shots of our little life.
Our Wedding Day – September 21st.
The Reception Day – September 22nd.
Our Wedding Party. (From left to right).
Me, Greg, Abbey (college Friend), Gabi (my cuz), Pam (my sis), Phil (Greg’s best bud), Andy (mutual friend), Ken (Greg’s bro)
A honeymoon in the Bahamas that Greg planned 100% himself and didn’t tell me about until we were in the airport boarding. (Dude…how do I get that skinny again!)
See a theme here? Morgan’s birthday shadows our anniversary. Actually, Greg was home for Morgan’s birthday then had to leave, first thing the next morning so that he could attend his Grampa Patten’s funeral in Utah.
Happy Anniversary Badunker. I love you:)
