8 Weeks

Today is Shelby’s 8 Week Birthday.  Wow.  Time has 100% NOT FLOWN by.  Yes, it seriously feels like it has been 8 weeks (LOL).  Sad, but true.  Thank goodness it is summer so that Morgan and I can free ourselves of house arrest every once and a while and play in her little pool.

Shelby is worth it though. I mean, look at this face….

how can you complain about raising a girl this cute!?

Our days have been spent mostly inside for the past few weeks because it is horribly hot and humid here.  And when it isn’t too hot there are too many mosquitoes.  Poor Shelby, someday she’ll learn the colors of the wind (that was lame I know).

Morgan still enjoys “playing” with Shelby, though I think she enjoys Shelby’s toys more than anything

And for Morgan, she is hanging in there.  Some days she really just does not like all the attention Shelby gets.  See what I mean?

Shelby is cute and fun though.  She knows who I am right away, every time, that’s for sure.  Comforting and nice to have a little snuggler again.  Unfortunately, this girl’s schedule is as predictable as a good crop.  Looking forward to her becoming more of a regular sleeper, besides just knowing that if she is not in her crib within 1.5 hours of being up she starts a bewitching game.

We love her though.  What’s not to love?
