What a guy.

Alright fellow bloggers….who has yet to blog about there husbands - - in a positive, loving, enduring way that is?  Well, I will be the first to admit that I’ve never done a post on Greg.  Greg and all his side of the family friends whom I’ve obtained over the course of knowing Greg – here you go.

Greg.  A boy born without a nickname due to his brother, Ken, who named him when he was only five years old and told his parents that his name was to be Just Greg, is a Greek name which means Watcher

Greg funny face

The name Greg is so suiting to him as he is a watcher of his friends, as well as work, seeing how he worked on a farm for nearly 1/4 of his life (he’s almost 30 ya know.)

Ahhh yes… When I met Greg he smelled of aftershave and haybales – a sent which infused into his hair until months of leaving the farm. Only to have him start an new scented job at the railroad where he comes home smelling of dirt, diesel fuel and oil.  What a lucky lady I am.

Greg really is a great guy.  He is so much fun and can always make me laugh.  He is also a great dad too.  Loves his little girls.

Shelby at 7weeks – she loves him so much too.

Though at times, his request of me seem a little insane, he always pulls through in the end.  Let’s take tonight for example:

  • 4:45pm – Shelby’s hungry.  Greg says, “Honey, can you answer my work phone while I’m in the shower.”  Mind you, I’m nursing Shelby and he leaves the work phone in our bedroom.
  • 4:50pm – Work phone rings….of course….so I get up with Shelby and go and get it.
  • 4:51pm – Doorbell rings.  I walk half-naked to the door, peek around the corner and see a flower shop lady standing there with a huge bouquet.  I have to get it of course.
  • 4:52pm – Work phone rings again…are you serious!
  • 4:55pm – Greg gets out of the shower and swears he did not buy the flowers, seeing how I obviously was unable to read the card, I trusted him.
  • 5:00pm – Here is what I find.

What a wonderful husband I have.  Thanks Greggy – I (and the girls) love you!
